Software Systems Services and Solutions
SimIS, Inc provides innovative software systems solutions to government and commercial customers. Our work is based on both our experience in solving customer problems and a solid understanding of research developments in the field. SimIS Software Systems offerings are based on current and transformational technologies and standards, including:

    • Rapid Development of Software Systems
      • Cloud Computing/Net Enabled Technologies
      • Intelligent Software Applications
      • Knowledge Based Systems
      • Agile Software Engineering
    • Knowledge Management / Content Management /Collaboration Systems
    • Architecture-based Systems Engineering
    • Model-based Human-Integrated Systems

The SimIS approach is motivated by two observations on how people interact with computer systems. First, modern “knowledge workers” adapt to changes in their work faster than software developers can produce tools to support the work. At SimIS we are addressing this reality by developing software that can adapt to the work as the work changes. Additionally, people interact with the world using their internal “view of the world” or their “model.” SimIS uses this insight to develop software tools and services that exploit this underlying fact about human cognition. We are exploring ways to make this internal model explicit in our software and provide advanced algorithms and user interface techniques to support the intelligent updating of this internal model.

The DUCAT capability was developed as a result of a Network-centric S&T project designed to advance software technologies to support distributed testing events. DUCAT provides capabilities in three areas: test artifacts, test architectures, and visualization/data mining. DUCAT has enabled the representation of test artifacts and test architectures using XML, has supported interaction using portal technology, and information exchanges using web services. DUCAT is using data mining to capture changing C2 interactions to enable visualization of mission threads as they ar

TransVerse is an open-standards-based collaboration tool enabling concurrent same-domain and cross-domain collaboration, among personnel working together from one or more different servers and/or from one or more different domains. TransVerse can function as a regular XMPP chat client or as the chat client within the Cross-Domain Collaborative Information Environment (CDCIE) Chat system architecture. TransVerse uses eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP), which is an eXtensible Markup Language (XML)-based instant messaging, presence and multi-user text chat protocol. XMPP complies with all security requirements and is a mandated standard within the DoD IT Standards Registry (DISR).
